Students with a flair for The Arts have access to renowned teachers, performers, musicians and teaching artists to fuel their passion.

Visual artists also embrace opportunities to show their work in many School and community exhibitions and competitions across the year. These events enable our students to showcase their skills to diverse wider audiences beyond the classroom to further boost their artistic knowledge and skills.

St Stephen’s School offers a comprehensive Music program including an Instrumental Tuition Program for Secondary students. Instrumental Music Tutors are contracted by St Stephen’s School to provide lessons during school time on School premises. Students can choose from a diverse range of brass, string or wind instruments, or vocal courses. Students enrolled in the program are required to participate in an appropriate instrumental ensemble or choral ensemble when they have reached the required standard. Rehearsals for choirs, guitar ensembles, orchestras and bands are generally held either before or after School.

St Stephen’s School plays host to regular music and choral concerts across our campuses for our community to enjoy. We also hold annual art and design exhibitions, and a community film festival. Senior Secondary Drama students perform a dramatic production annually and a Secondary cross-campus performance is produced every two years, which showcases the talents of our Year 7 to 12 students in the spotlight and backstage.

Our Arts program is vast, interactive, engaging and creative. Students gain theoretical and practical skills in their day-to-day lessons and are encouraged to pursue their talents further on stage and at exhibitions, to experience the full range of opportunities available in The Arts.
