We know growing up can be hard at any age.

Our Early Years students are building their knowledge of the wide world around them and fostering relationships with classmates.

These experiences can sometimes become a bit tricky and students may need a helping hand. Classroom teachers and learning assistants combine explicit teaching and hands-on activities to build positive relationships among students and staff, developing a caring network of support for every student from a young age.ÌýÌý

School Nurses and Psychologists are also on hand to identify potential challenges and navigate issues across the School. They are an invaluable resource for parents, families and students. Our psychologists offer specialist advice and intervention in the spheres of behavioural, learning, cognitive and personal development through proactive involvement, seminars and community events. Each campus also has a fully-trained nurse onsite to ensure students’ safety, health and wellbeing. Ìý

Our leadership team oversees care programs and initiatives that provide students with age-appropriate learning activities and understandings to ensure a sense of belonging, support and wellbeing. Ìý

Each student from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 is assigned to a House and remains in the same House throughout their schooling. This system provides students with an additional network of support at School, promoting bonds across year groups and building self-confidence, pride and a sense of belonging among peers.Ìý

Anti-Bullying Policy

Every student has the right to feel safe. Whether physical, social, verbal or online, St Stephen’s School has zero-tolerance when it comes to bullying.Ìý

The School’s stance against bullying starts with a preventative approach that uses a variety of policies and programs to educate, inform and support out students and staff, all of whom have the right to a safe and caring environment.Ìý

In any instance, the School prides itself on being responsive to all incidents that are reported and works with students, families and staff towards restorative outcomes.Ìý

We understand wellbeing is a complex concept and each situation is different but assure families the School is well resourced and equipped to handle various circumstances and ask parents to work closely with us to promote communication, education and support for all.Ìý
