Our School motto – Serve God, Serve One Another – is lived through our Service Learning program.

It offers students and staff a wide array of opportunities to give back to local, regional and international communities in a range of volunteer roles.

Taking part in food preparation and cooking for those in need in our local community, helping out in charity shops and spending quality time with people with disabilities and the elderly are regular activities for our Secondary students in the Service Learning program. Ìý

On a wider scale, students can explore WA’s north, learning and volunteering in local Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley region during the annual Kimberley Tour. This immersive trip sees students spend time with local students and connect with the communities they visit and volunteer in as the tour progresses. It is an opportunity for St Stephen’s School students to learn about culture and history in some of WA’s most remote locations, and explore the rugged beauty of the Kimberley region.Ìý

Students and staff can also participate in international tours to various locations including Cambodia, India, South Africa or Malaysia, learning about different ways of life and enriching the lives of people in local communities.ÌýÌý

Service Learning activities and tours enable our students to learn about different cultures, places and people in their local communities, in regional areas and internationally. These experiences nurture a sense of responsibility and service, an appreciation of the world, our place in it and learning for life.Ìý
