Our Early Years art classes are all about exploring different methods to create and learning the basics of art principles.

From creating patterns with colour and materials to painting self-portraits, our students are encouraged to create with confidence and learn as they experience different elements of art.Ìý

Music and rhythm are interwoven across Early Years curriculum, enabling students to grasp new concepts and build their knowledge through singing, listening to music, playing instruments and dancing. Ìý

Each St Stephen’s School campus also has a Music specialist teacher on staff. Our Music program extends the day-to-day use of song and rhythm in the classroom by introducing students to music as a stand-alone subject, one where they can learn about different styles of music, create music and experience playing instruments of all shapes and size.ÌýÌý

Students get to build their understanding of the dynamics of music, find their talents and enjoy experimenting as young musicians. Students who want to learn particular instruments can join our Instrumental Tuition Program and extend their learning further beyond the classroom setting.Ìý

Performing on stage is a highlight of our Early Years program. Students are encouraged to work together in performances for classmates, parents, families, and our wider community. Our Early Years students can be part of performance opportunities including annual Christmas Nativity plays and musical productions. Ìý
