They are challenged using an inquiry-based approach, which develops their inner thinking, encouraging research, questioning and debate as part of the learning process. Through this, our students become resilient, confident learners who are equipped with skills needed throughout their school journey and beyond.ÌýÌý

St Stephen’s School’s main Primary subjects are English, Mathematics, Science, French, Sport, The Arts, Biblical Studies, Library Studies and Digital Learning. There are subject-specialist teachers in several key learning areas including Music, Sport and Art.Ìý

Digital technologies are integrated into every subject, enabling students to learn key digital skills across their broader learning landscape. Specialist Digital Learning mentors and the School’s iDigital program promote strong digital citizenship and responsible use of technology.Ìý

St Stephen’s School operates under the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program Many2One, from Year 5-12, which allows students to use multiple devices for educational purposes.Ìý

The Primary curriculum is offered alongside a variety of co-curricular activities. Service Learning opportunities, from giving time and philanthropic pursuits to visiting remote schools in the vast Kimberley region, open doors to different ways of life, learning and living.

Our Primary students often venture beyond the School to camps and excursions to extend their learning experiences. From day trips to museums and exhibitions to overnight or extended camps, our students connect with real world learning opportunities and gain confidence in their independence away from home.

Year 3 students build on Early Years overnight sleepovers at School by venturing outside and camping around the School campus. Year 4s enjoy a three-day farm-stay experience, while Year 5s and 6s take part in adventure-seeking, team-building exercises during their three-day camps.Ìý
